Canada Day we went to church in the morning. Afterward Andy said aloud what I was feeling: ECC feels more like "family" every week. We really love our church.
One great thing about where we live: fireworks! The kind you set off yourself. They're available for sale year-round. We aren't supposed to set them off within town limits, although the town was pretty lenient about it on Canada Day. When we get our own acreage outside of town, we're having fireworks every month! Of course, we took advantage of these great laws and purchased a bunch of fireworks on Sunday afternoon.
One not so great thing about where we live: it doesn't get dark enough for fireworks until after 11:00 p.m.! The town fireworks started at 11:00, and the sun was still setting behind the fireworks. The sky was light blue with yellow on the horizon. We took Calvin's friend, Conner, with us to the park where the town set off their fireworks. The fireworks were, um, well, very small-townish!
After the town's fireworks, we went to a school yard and set off our own display. We're pretty sure some of ours were better than the town's!
Holiday Monday we did LOADS of gardening and painted the first coat on the garage door. I'll have photos of that later.
We're off on a holiday to B.C. tomorrow. Will blog later!

Cool. It is awesome to hear how at home you are feeling at your new place of worship. I think that is why it is called the family of God. It also says great things about the local church in the fact that they can make someone feel so comfortable so quickly. Love ya sis.
